Updates: Year 4

June 7, 2004 - In case you didn't know, today in the third anniversary of the creation of this site! That's right, I've been around for three years. I know updates have been excruciatingly slow at times, but thanks for sticking with me. I look forward to doing some fun stuff in the coming year.

With the new year comes a new section. I've been a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh for a couple years now, so I'm glad to add that universe onto this site. Fanfics will come eventually, but for now I just have a bunch of links up.

What I don't have for you today is Chapter 10 of "Shadowed". I know it's been...three months (ouch), but I've had finals and Fullmetal Alchemist and various stuff. However, I am about half-done with the chapter, and I bet I can get it completely done by the end of the month. We'll see. I can tell you that the name of the chapter will likely be "Mistakes".

Well, I think that's all I have to say for now. I did add some new Legend of Zelda links, so check those out, too, if you want to.

June 30, 2004 - Hooray! Spider-Man 2 comes out today! A pity I won't see it until tomorrow, but I should be able to last that long. *commercials make head explode* Anyway, Spider-Man 2 isn't the only thing coming out today, because I have not one, but two new stories for you.

The first is actually over a year old, but I've finally gotten around to publishing it here. "Curses, Robin, Foiled Again" actually has nothing to do with Batman but everything to do with the nutty clown Crazy Carl that you'll be seeing more of. If you love crazy random humor, you'll love this story.

Second, I finally, as promised, have "Shadowed: Chapter 10 - Mistakes" for you. What fun is the Ocarina of Time storyline unless I mess with it? The next chapter should be done during next month, as well as another Crazy Carl story and possibly my first Yu-Gi-Oh fic! Whew, summer without a job is a lot of fun.

On a side note, I've had some trouble responding to e-mail messages. So, if you've sent me an e-mail and didn't get a response, could you please send me another message? I'm not sure if it's something wrong with my Hotmail or what, but I'll hopefully have it cleared up soon.

July 28, 2004 - Man, this has been a fun month. Played in a couple municipal bands, got some money, hung out with friends, lots of fun stuff. Unfortunately, this means that I don't have anything new for you today. I have Chapter 11 of "Shadowed" mostly planned out but have barely started on it yet. I do have a lot of my first Yu-Gi-Oh fic done, but I have yet to partition off the first chapter. That I should be able to get done late next week. So, check back then for a Yu-Gi-Oh story and we'll see if I can get Chapter 11 done for you next month.

August 6, 2004 - As promised, the first chapter of "Rematch: Joey vs. Kaiba" is in the Yu-Gi-Oh section. The chapters may be a little short, but I figured it would be better to split up the 15+ page story into pieces instead of posting it all at once (plus, I haven't even decided on which ending I'm going to use yet). So now, excuse me while I frantically enjoy my last remaining month of summer.

August 14, 2004 - Another week, another chapter of "Rematch: Joey vs. Kaiba". From now on, I should have a new chapter of this story up every week, so keep checking every Friday or Saturday for new stuff.

August 20, 2004 - Yet another week, yet another chapter of "Rematch: Joey vs. Kaiba". Next week, expect yet yet another chapter and a new humor story with Crazy Carl.

August 28, 2004 - Two new things this week. There's Chapter 4 of "Rematch: Joey vs. Kaiba" and a new original humor story, "Crazy Carl and Little One's Medieval Misadventures". Now that I've finished the Yu-Gi-Oh story (there's two more chapters left to post, but I have them both written), I can concentrate on "Shadowed". And on a final note, I don't want to go back to college in a week! Argh!

September 4, 2004 - Ugh, what a week to get sick. Here's Chapter 5 of "Rematch: Joey vs. Kaiba".

September 10, 2004 - I normally wait until later to update, but the people on Fanfiction.net were so eager, I thought I'd do it now. The final chapter of "Rematch: Joey vs. Kaiba" is here. Next on my queue is Chapter 11 of "Shadowed", once I reread the story and get a feel for it again.

September 26, 2004 - I'm back at college and I'm busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy, so I have made absolutely no progess on Chapter 11 of "Shadowed". I also have no idea when I'll start, since about the only free time I've had has been when I've been procrastinating and not writing the paper I'm supposed to be writing right now. So, I'm just letting you know that I haven't died (yet) and there won't be any updates for a while.

October 31, 2004 - Yargh! *dies* *picks himself back up and goes back to work* Happy Halloween, everyone! Because I felt like procrastinating, I made a fun little almost-Halloween-themed image for you. Enjoy it, for a limited time only!

I also should tell everyone to watch the premiere of Fullmetal Alchemist on Cartoon Network this Saturday (at 10:00 or 10:30, I think (central time)), and to watch every week afterward. As long as you don't mind a little blood every once in a while, it's a great series that's funny, serious, looks great, sounds great, and hopefully has a good dub. I fell in love with this series through fansubs, so I highly recommend it to whoever's interested. You won't regret it! ...at least, I hope not. I haven't actually seen how it ends yet! :(

December 1, 2004 - Three weeks. In slightly less than three weeks, the Semester-of-Incredible-Busyness will be over. It's so close, I can almost palpably feel it! This means that in late December or in less-intensive January I should have some new stuff for you. If I don't, it's because I'm wallowing in the sheer goodness that is not having tons of crap to do. But I can wallow and write at the same time. Please, just let me survive these three more weeks!

January 4, 2005 - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's, everyone! I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday season. I sure did. I survived the semester more or less intact (haven't found out my grades yet, but I'm pretty confident about them), and now I'm in Interim, where for one month all I have is a two-hour class every Monday through Thursday. I'm in heaven! I plan to start working on Chapter 11 of "Shadowed", continue planning out a Yugi vs. Kaiba duel to add to "Rematch", and finish translating my Spanish fansubs of Fullmetal Alchemist.

May 2, 2005 - So, I haven't said anything for a while. There are reasons for that. First, I was getting tired of apologizing all the time for not having written anything, so I figured that I'd just shut up until I had something for you...probably had the opposite effect than I intended. And second, I've been just plain busy (though a lack of straight priorities has aggravated that fact). I'm really sorry, but this hasn't been a good school year for free time.

Fortunately, I do have ideas turning around in my head. One of the more interesting ones is a very looooong term story involving Yu-Gi-Oh (that's something separate from the Yugi vs. Kaiba duel). I also have an idea for a Batman Beyond story, a Turtles story (haven't done one of those in ages), a Fullmetal Alchemist story (it was only a matter of time), and I suppose I should do Chapter 11 of "Shadowed," but being obligated to do something has never helped. I've never been bad at coming up with ideas; it's executing them that I have trouble with. That and figuring out just what I want to do first. Wish me luck.
